The correct way to load steel coils depends on their size, weight and how they are transported or stored.
The correct way to load steel coils depends on their size, weight and how they are transported or stored. Here are a few common loading methods:
Wave rack or adjustable seat rack loading. It is suitable for situations where the ratio of the width to height of the steel plate roll is less than 70%. It is necessary to put a rubber sheet on the bottom and use a fastening device (such as fastening tape, steel wire rope, chain) for binding and fixation.
Wooden frame or carton packaging. Suitable for most types of steel coils, especially lighter weight steel coils. Wooden frame packaging uses wood and nails to fix the steel coils on the wooden frame, while carton packaging uses cartons to fix the steel coils and fill the cartons with protective materials.
Plastic bag packaging. Suitable for steel coils with high requirements for moisture resistance and rust prevention.
Vertical loading. When the ratio of steel coil width to diameter is less than or equal to 0.7, choose vertical placement with the steel coil line perpendicular to the loading plane.
Horizontal transverse loading. When the ratio of the width to diameter of the steel plate coil is greater than 0.7 and the width is smaller than the width of the vehicle, horizontal placement is selected, with the steel coil line parallel to the loading plane and perpendicular to the side of the vehicle.
Horizontal longitudinal loading. When the ratio of steel coil width to diameter is greater than 0.7 and the width is greater than or equal to the vehicle width, horizontal longitudinal placement is selected, with the steel coil line parallel to the loading plane and parallel to the vehicle side.
When packaging, bundling and stacking steel coils, you also need to pay attention to the following points:
Packaging materials should comply with national standards.
The tension of the straps should be appropriate.
Overly high or unstable stacking should be avoided as much as possible.
During long-distance transportation, attention should be paid to whether hanging labels or ribbons are needed.

The difference between steel coil and steel strip
Although both steel coils and steel strips are steel products, they have different forms and applications. Steel coils are mostly in the form of rolls, which are more suitable for industrial applications that require large amounts of continuous materials; while steel strips are narrow and long, which are more suitable for specific applications that require precise dimensions and high surface quality.

Steel pipes can also be divided into seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes according to the production process. Seamless steel pipes are divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled (drawn). Welded steel pipes are divided into straight seam welded steel pipes and spiral seam welded steel pipes.

Understanding G90 Zinc Coating: Benefits and Applications in Metallurgy
G90 zinc coating refers to a specific standard of zinc galvanization that is commonly applied to steel products. The term "G90" indicates that the zinc coating weighs 0.90 ounces per square foot, providing a robust layer of protection against corrosion. This standard is particularly significant in environments where metal components are exposed to moisture, salt, or other corrosive elements, as it
